WWE COO Donna Goldsmith said yesterday at a Reuters Global Media Summit that WWE has pushed back plans for their own cable TV network to the middle of 2012 or early 2013.
Goldsmith said that WWE is still working out the details on what programming would be shown on the network. WWE is looking into following a TV model used by Major League Baseball where pay-TV operators own a stake in the network.
"It's taken us longer to galvanize the troops and figure out where we're going," Goldsmith said. "My guess is more like the middle of 2012 or even the beginning of 2013 before we're ready to go forward."
