WWE Summerslam was originally set to take place in New York City, but the event will now be held in Los Angeles for the third straight year. Madison Square Garden officials warned WWE that building renovations would not be complete in time to accommodate the show, so the company went back to LA and allowed NYC to host Survivor Series instead.
